“Rev 2:14 But I have a few things against thee: that
thou hast there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast
a snare before the sons of Israel, to
eat of idol
sacrifices and commit fornication.” There are two things that
always go together and faithfully:
eating things sacrificed unto idols, and committing fornication; and God is against such things. After the failure of all his
attempts to curse Israel, upon Balak’s request, so that the Moabite should overcome
Israel, Balaam then made use of the ultimate means: THE DOCTRINE; which means,
if it fails, the enemy is pushed to the limit and becomes desperate. In my last
two epistles http://paulinenglish.blogspot.com/2014/05/only-dont-speak-in-that-name-1.html and http://paulinenglish.blogspot.com/2014/05/only-dont-speak-in-that-name-2.html you were
permitted to discover that to dismiss the name of Jesus from the process of the
salvation of man, the enemy had first started by violence, intimidation and persecution
without much success; but when he resorted to THE DOCTRINE, he succeeded to
oust out the name and keep the souls in cells bearing the name of Churches.
“1Co 8:4 --concerning then the eating of things
sacrificed to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the
world, and that there is
no other God save one. 1Co 8:5 For and if indeed there are those called gods, whether
in heaven or on earth, (as there are gods many, and lords many,) 1Co 8:6 yet to
us there is one God,
the Father, of whom all things, and *we* for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
by whom are all
things, and *we* by him.” This passage shows unambiguously that things
sacrificed to idols which we must abstain (as recommended by the apostles (Acts
15: 29) are not literally food that are sold on the market or cooked in kitchen
utensils (1Cor 10 :25-27). Literally speaking, every Christian who has
knowledge must abstain from meats supposed sacrificed to idols in the only
event that the act of eating offends one that is weak (1 Corinthians 8: 9-13).
But spiritually speaking, in other words in the reality that is in Christ, God
forbids us to eat meat sacrificed to idols in the most categorical manner.
This word can be paralleled to
the declaration of the Lord: “Joh 6:53 Jesus
therefore said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Unless ye shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of man, and drunk his
blood, ye have no life in yourselves. Joh 6:54 He that eats my flesh and drinks my blood has
life eternal, and I will raise him up at the last day: Joh
6:55 for my flesh is truly food
and my blood is truly drink. Joh 6:56 He
that eats my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and I in him.” Eating
the flesh and drinking the blood of the son of man is essential to have eternal
life, and eating things sacrificed to idols is essential to have eternal death.
In both cases, there is nothing literal: if the disciples had hastened to his
grave to eat his flesh literally, would they not have been indexed as
cannibals? Now in this same passage, the Lord adds that eating his flesh and
drinking his blood is essential to make him abide in you. But what does it mean
then? Any biblical question must absolutely find a biblical answer:
“Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, If any one
love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to
him and make our abode with him.” The Lord
dwells in you if you keep his word or if you eat his flesh and drink his blood.
Hearing and keeping his word equates eating his flesh and drinking his blood. Moreover,
we can still question the Bible: the flesh of our Lord, what is it in
substance? – The Bible answers: “Joh 1:1
In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 *He*
was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:14
And the Word became flesh,
and dwelt among us (and we have contemplated his glory, a glory as of an
only-begotten with a father), full of grace and truth;” Thus the
word of God is the flesh and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ who gave himself
for our lives. Our Lord, the Word, is the only sacrifice approved by God which puts
us in perfect communion with the Father.
Jeremiah cried out in the
Spirit “Jer
15:16 Thy words were found,
and I did eat them, and thy words were unto me the joy and rejoicing of my
heart; for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.” These are
the words that we eat that make us enter into communion with God. When we eat
his words, we participate with him, his flesh and blood: “1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not
the communion of the
blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body
of the Christ?” The bread which we break, and the wine we drink
during the celebration of Holy Communion symbolize the flesh and blood
of Christ in memory of his death that we are announcing until his coming (1 Cor
11:23-26). The doctrine of transubstantiation (IN THE CATHOLIC RELIGION transformation, during the eucharist, of
the substance of bread and wine into the substance of the true body and blood
of jesus christ, microsoft ® encarta ®

Thus, the flesh of the son of
man, which is the indispensable food for our communion with the Father and our
having his life in us, is the word of God that was made flesh. The Bible also
calls it GOOD DOCTRINE (1 Timothy 4: 6) or SOUND DOCTRINE (2Ti 4: 3). So therefore,
there is healthy food which is the good one, the sound doctrine which puts
whoever receives it in full and perfect communion with the heavenly Father; and
there is also corrupt food sacrificed to idols: These are DOCTRINES OF DEMONS “1Ti 4:1 But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in
latter times some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons”
Behind each false teaching or each
lie there is a deceiving spirit, and it is the deceiving spirit which makes the
false teaching to deceive. When a man wants to beguile a woman, he needs to
have a beautiful speech that Kinshasa people call “maloba sukali,” which means
“sweet words” such as “when I consider all this splendid beauty, as it stands
out, your wisdom, your studies and your sense of respect and value, ...; I just
can’t bear to see that you live in so miserable conditions... I am continually
saddened and sickened to see you suffer, while I love you and I have all it
takes to make you happy... I think it was just an accident for you to marry
such a man, he does not fit you ..." Such talk is the doctrine of the man
who is beguiling a woman. And it is when a woman listens to this doctrine that she
gets beguiled. To beguile Eve in the Garden of Eden, the serpent did not show
the fruit of which he might display the various points of beauty; he developed
a strong and beautiful doctrine, but contrary to the one Adam had preached to the
same woman. And it is in result of the teaching that the woman began to admire
the beauty of the tree and its fruit. But the doctrine of Adam was the SOUND
DOCTRINE which kept this couple in communion with God for life, but the serpent’s
one was a DOCTRINE OF DEMON that separated them from God for death.
Indeed, we note that in many
places where ‘things sacrificed to idols’ is mentioned in the Bible, it is
always preceded by ‘doctrine, teaching, or to teach.’ It comes again still in
the passage “Rev 2:20
But I have against thee that thou permittest the woman Jezebel, she who
calls herself prophetess, and she teaches and leads astray my servants to
commit fornication and eat of idol sacrifices.” At Thyatire,
this time, it is not a man who seduces a woman, but it is a woman, Jezebel, who
seduces the servants of God. Natural Jezebel in the history of Israel, was a
princess (daughter of Ethbaal priest of Astarte and King of the Zidonians, i.e.
Phoenicians, who became queen in Israel through her marriage with Ahab – see story
of Ahab in the first book of Kings, starting in the 16th chapter). Once queen,
Jezebel introduced the Phoenician worship and idols in Israel.
There it was the type of the
New Testament church: the Roman administration, as the princess of the global
empire, was introduced into Christianity, she sat as a queen (Rev. 18: 7)
becoming the universal church. And as that Jezebel of Ahab, this New Testament Jezebel
brought with her and
introduced into the Church the worship and idols of her ancestors, since Nimrod:
doctrines of devils. All those who listen to these doctrines eat things
sacrificed to idols and enter into communion with demons - the spiritual
fornication. “1Co 10:17
Because we, being
many, are one loaf, one body; for we all partake of that one loaf. 1Co 10:18 See
Israel according to flesh: are not they who eat the sacrifices in communion
with the altar? 1Co 10:19 What then do I say? that what is sacrificed
to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? 1Co
10:20 But that what the nations sacrifice they
sacrifice to demons, and not to God. Now
I do not wish you to be in communion with demons. 1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the Lord's cup, and the cup of demons: ye cannot partake of the Lord's table, and of the table of demons.” Any doctrine without biblical authority
puts its adherents in perfect communion with demons; this is meat sacrificed to
idols.
And what punishment is reserved
for consumers of meats sacrificed to idols? - Death, cause they are separated
from God who is the source of life. Here indeed is what the Lord told Jezebel “Rev 2:21 And I gave her time that she should repent,
and she will not repent of her fornication. Rev 2:22 Behold, I cast her into a bed, and those that
commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her
works, Rev 2:23
and her children will I kill with death; and all the assemblies shall
know that *I* am he that searches the reins and the
hearts; and I will give to you each according to your works.” In Revelation
17, the Spirit shows us the woman with her children, all prostitutes because they did enjoy
food sacrificed to idols. Jezebel, the mistress of fornication, is already
judged and condemned to death. All the girls who were born of her (Protestant
churches) are also sentenced to death; this is the result of eating meat
sacrificed to idols.
But because of hunger predicted
by the prophet Amos (Amos 8 :11-13), beautiful girls and young people flock
here and there around the same tables to eat food sacrificed to idols, after
missing the words of the LORD, because they cannot bear the sound doctrine (2
Tim 4: 3). But these are exactly the things which they would be better off
guarding themselves from: “Act 15:28
For it has seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no
greater burden than these necessary things: Act 15:29 to abstain from things sacrificed to idols,
and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication; keeping
yourselves from which ye will do well. Farewell.”
If
you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings!
