“Psa 2:1 Why are the nations in tumultuous agitation,
and why do the
peoples meditate a vain thing? Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and
the princes plot together, against Jehovah and against his anointed.”
These are the kings of the
earth, and with them the princes, who indulge in a showdown with God. The great
of the earth or the world elite defy the God they cannot see, which implies
that behind them
there must also be someone we do not see that drives them to
do so, since the outright visible cannot engage a showdown with the invisible.
Man is always manipulated by an unseen force to fight another invisible force,
knowingly or unknowingly and want it or not. The Lord once said to his
disciples: “Luk
9:55 … Ye know not of what spirit ye are.” There is here no doubt that the one that
exploits the kings, princes and counselors of the earth to challenge God is
none other than the invisible enemy of God.
But what I want to draw your
attention to is the selection criterion of this invisible enemy of God. We can
see that on earth, he selected only those who rank first in each stratum, each
domain. We read it in the Psalm, it is not in fact the people of vulgar class
that rise up against the Lord and against his anointed, but kings and princes.
And even in the global hierarchy of powers, the enemy will always select the
kingdom that exercises dominion over all the other kings of the earth. When
Egypt exercised authority over all the earth, it was in Egypt that the people
of God was a slave and it is the Pharaoh of Egypt who defied God, saying, “Exo 5:
…Who is Jehovah, to whose voice I am to hearken to let Israel go? I do not know
Jehovah, neither will I let Israel go.”
When it was Babylon, God's
people was deported to Babylon and forced to worship pagan gods of Babylon to
defy God. When Darius the Mede had acceded to the throne, the enemy used his
chiefs and princes to ban prayer for thirty days except as it was addressed only
to King Darius. And the one that was referred to was Daniel so that he might
worship Lucifer in King Darius instead of worshiping God. Again in this case,
it was a challenge against God. Then ancient Greece ruled the world following
the conquests of Alexander the Great and the people of God were Hellenized.
When Rome ruled the world, it was quick to establish its governors in
Jerusalem, the holy city of God, and throughout Israel. It even happened that
the leaders of God's people opposed Christ's kingdom to that of Caesar,
claiming aloud, “Joh 19:15
… We have no king but Caesar.” What a
challenge! between the king of the world and the eternal king, they chose the
king of the world to anger God.
In the world the enemy uses the
king who reigns over the kings of the earth, in a kingdom he uses the king,
chiefs, princes and notables; and in all other areas still he uses what he finds
most excellent, first class or high end. Even at Jerusalem, to deliver Christ
to the Romans, the enemy did not select and recruit ordinary people, but the
elite of Jerusalem (the chief priests and elders) who in turn influenced all
the people into this business : “Mat 27:20
But the chief priests and the
elders persuaded the crowds that they should beg for Barabbas, and
destroy Jesus.” “Mar 15:11 But
the chief priests stirred up the crowd that he might rather release
Barabbas to them.” “Joh 19:15 But they cried out, Take him away, take him away, crucify him.
Pilate says to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.”
The prime criterion in the
selection by the enemy of God is excellence: he only selects what is the best,
most brilliant, most beautiful, most influential, most persuading, most eloquent,
most imposing. It is necessary to understand the nature of the enemy, then one
can catch the motivations of this selection criterion precious to him: “Isa 14:12 How you are fallen from the heavens, O shining star, son of the morning! How you are cut down to
the ground, you who weakened the nations!” (MKJV) The enemy is a shining star (Lucifer), son
of the morning and he has his background in heaven. Of all that God created, he
was the peak of perfection, beauty and wisdom, as God bears him witness, “Eze 28:12 … Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect
in beauty.”
We all know that, according to
the Holy Bible scriptures, everything in creation is at the peak of perfection.
Every creature that God created was perfect in its condition and did not need
any improvement, so the Bible reports that after his work “Gen 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and
behold it was very good.” There was no need for any improvement: the dog
is perfect as a dog, it does not need to be better than the way God created it;
pigs, cypress, etc. Only the enemy sees things differently and has used his
children to improve seeds which God created perfect after their kinds. They have
developed "improved seeds" or "genetically modified
organisms". It is reported that over one American out of three is obese,
and this is due to the consumption of GMOs.
What men call ‘improving the creation’
results in appearances of better health which is none, but in reality is only
obesity which is a disease among others. And every disease leads to death. The twiddling
of what God has done only leads to death. The consequences are deplorable in
the natural realm, but in the spiritual it is much worse since the death of the
soul is eternal. People, churches quibble the seed of God, the word, and the consumers
of this "improved seed" or "spiritual GMO" gain weight, and
they think this is better spiritual health while it is nothing but spiritual
obesity.
But let’s go back to this
passage from Ezekiel to notice that this creature was not only perfect in his kind
but among all the other creatures that God had created. He sealed up the measure of perfection, and in another version
it says he was the accomplished form of perfection. And regarding wisdom and
beauty the same applies. The following verse describes how this enemy, who was present
in the Garden of Eden, was covered with all sorts of makeup so that no being
could equal him in beauty. Adam himself in the Garden of Eden could not equal him
in beauty, if we stick to the description that God himself portrayed in these
verses. Already at his creation, musical instruments had been prepared for him,
so he did not need to learn music that was waiting to be at his service. Etc.
Seeing how God describes this
creature, we understand that in all creation he was the most perfect, the
wisest, the most beautiful, the strongest, the most influential, the most ...
in all; except in the fear of the LORD, and this is the enemy. And he, in his
pride to defy the Creator, can but use the first fruits of each area. In
society he selects the emperors and kings, princes and counselors of the earth;
he selects the empire that has authority over all others. On the religious realm,
he controls the religious leaders, high priests, and selects the most powerful
religion, the most decorated and richest to influence all other religions. In
culture and art, he selects the stars, celebrities to influence the world. Etc.
In contrast, we can see that,
as for God, he uses the children, the poor, the despised, the oppressed, etc.,
to shine his glory on the face of the earth: “Luk 10:21
In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee,
Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things
from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus
has it been well-pleasing in thy sight.” On his side Paul argues: “1Co 1:26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there are not many wise
according to flesh, not many powerful, not many high-born. 1Co 1:27 But
God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may put to shame the
wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world, that he may put to shame
the strong things; 1Co 1:28 and the ignoble things of the world, and the
despised, has God chosen, and
things that are not, that he may annul the things that are; 1Co 1:29 so
that no flesh should boast before God.”
Woe to those who aspire to be
part of the world elite, they had better desire to become elite in the kingdom
of God by the excellence of the knowledge of Christ. Speaking to us, children
of God, the Apostle John exhorts: “1Jn 2:15
Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the
world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Let the life of Christ live in you and you
will be the fulfillment of God's plan. If this plan is for you to be Prime
Minister to Pharaoh in Egypt or head of governors in Babylon, it will be God's
program and nobody will stop it. Joseph in Egypt did not envy the post of Prime
Minister, he was not worried, but he let God's plan be realized in him. Same
with Daniel.
Thus, we see, God uses the low
end, the enemy uses the premium; God uses the weak, the enemy uses the
strongest; God uses the ugly, the enemy uses the most beautiful; God uses the illiterate,
the enemy uses the wisest and scholars of the earth; God uses the vulgar, the
enemy uses the extraordinary; etc., and it was no different in the Garden of
Eden. Thinking that Lucifer might have used a mean or lower class animal
(monkey or reptile) to seduce the woman is to fail to know him well. We must
first keep in mind that this was a crucial time, a time of great challenges
when the enemy was to dethrone the man and conquer dominion which God had
invested him with over all the earth, or never. We find indeed in the history
of mankind another highlight of major challenge for the enemy, when he hoped to
foil the plan of redemption by destroying the Savior of mankind. Again he had
to exploit the elite of Jerusalem to deliver the Lord of glory over to the
hands of the Romans.
Similarly in Eden the enemy had
to be sure he used an actor whose merits did not inspire doubt and whose
success was more than certain. So he had to choose, for this specific mission,
the elite of the Garden of Eden as is always his way to do. The creature that
sealed up the measure of perfection, who was full of wisdom and perfect in
beauty and who was covered with all manner of precious stones also lived in the
Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 28 : 13); he was the elite of the Garden of Eden. As we
will see later, this creature had everything needed, all the merits and all the
efficiency to be able to persuade and seduce the woman that God had rather made
for man. And only this creature met the criteria to provide the enemy what he
wanted and the enemy chose him for his trustworthy profile.
If
you feel blessed, sharing and pour the same blessings!
