"Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the
king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, who sealest
up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty, Eze 28:13 thou wast in Eden, the garden of God.
Every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond,
the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the
emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in
thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared.”
We are now going to consider
this actor of whom it is said that he was with Adam in the Garden of Eden. Here
he is called Prince / King of Tyre “Eze 28:2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah:
Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a *god, I sit in the seat of God, in the
heart of the seas, (and thou art a man, and not *God,) and thou settest thy
heart as the heart of God:” Elsewhere he is called the king of Babylon
(Isaiah 14, Jer 50; 51, etc.) And elsewhere king of Egypt, King of Assyria
(Ezekiel 31). Whoever reads these passages realizes that only the designation
changes, the message is the same and sent to a single recipient.
We read, for example, he said
to the king of Babylon: “Isa 14:13
And thou that didst say in thy heart, I will ascend into the heavens, I
will exalt my throne above the stars of *God, and I will sit upon the mount of
assembly, in the recesses of the north; Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the
clouds, I will be like the Most High:” We read about the Prince of Tyre “Eze 28:6 … Because thou hast set thy heart as the
heart of God,” To the King of Egypt, compared to the King of Assyria, it says “Eze 31:10 …Because thou hast lifted up thyself in
stature, ...and he hath set his top amidst the thick boughs, and his heart is
lifted up in his height,” The enemy, whether he rules the world from
Egypt, Babylon, Tyre, Assyria, Rome, the City of Vatican, the City of London,
Washington DC, etc., he still is the same invisible actor though changing
players.
And the consideration of all
these passages shows us his features: struggles,
revolts against, rivalries with God. The motivation of these tendencies
is that in all creation, God endowed this creature with unique assets beyond any
ceature. We read: “Eze 31:8
The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him; the cypresses were
not like his boughs, and the plane-trees were not as his branches: no tree in the garden of God was like
unto him in his beauty. Eze 31:9 I had made him fair by the multitude of his
branches; and all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied
him.” “Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden cup in Jehovah's
hand, that made all the earth drunken...” One of these strengths is his
unparalleled beauty: nothing in the whole heavenly or earthly creation can compete
with this man in beauty.
Chapter 28 of the book of
Ezekiel lists the assets in a detailed way. For example, “Eze 28:3 behold, thou art wiser than Daniel! nothing
secret is obscure for thee; Eze 28:4 by thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou
hast gotten thee riches, …” “Eze 28:12 …
Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in
beauty, Eze 28:13 thou wast in Eden, the garden of God. Every
precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the
chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the
emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in
thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared. Eze 28:14 Thou
wast the anointed covering cherub, and I had set thee so : thou wast upon the holy mountain of
God; thou didst walk up and down in the midst of stones of fire.” This man is
the crown of wisdom in creation, knowing all the secrets, powerful by his
intelligence, a citizen of the Eden of God, showing all the symbols of royalty of
which he has the resources and position, and finally we read through these
lines the position of the man in the immediate vicinity of the deity, which
explains why he appears even in the presence of God amid the sons of God
without protocol formalities as reported in the account of Job. It will be very
important to understand all these assets to appreciate the caliber of the actor
we are facing.
He was unique in all these
assets. Among the prophets, no one can match his wisdom, he is wiser than
Daniel who interpreted to the king of Babylon dreams which no other wise of the
earth could decipher. We understand that the secret of the Pharaoh's dream or
Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was hidden to all the magicians, seers and prophets and
was only known to the God of heaven and the Prince of Tyre, since we read “Eze 28:3 … nothing secret is obscure for thee;” In either
case, the God of heaven revealed this secret to Joseph or Daniel and did not
allow the Prince of Tyre to reveal to one of his magicians, seers or prophets;
otherwise he was able to. In heaven, covering cherub, i.e. in the immediate
vicinity of the deity - the angels are very distant from God compared with the
cherubim - and on earth the only animal that bore the name of man - Supreme
primate (see v2 of Ezekiel 28), i.e. having the same physiological structure as
Adam who was the tabernacle of God on earth. Among the trees of the garden, he
was the most beautiful and tallest, no other tree equaled but, unlike, all the
trees envied him; in other words every other creature in Eden acknowledged and
confessed that Prince of Tyre was their superior.
And we see that he was the
accomplished form of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. In
heaven the Prince of Tyre considered all these endowments, he considered all the
heavenly host, other cherubim, angels, elders and found none with whom he could
compete. Then he said “Eze 28:2
… I am a *god, I sit in
the seat of God, in the heart of the seas, …” “Isa
14:14 I will ascend above the
heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High:” In the
Garden of Eden, he considered his unique brain activity, his size (he was the
giant of Eden according Ezekiel 31 we read), his wisdom and perfect beauty; he
considered the entire population of Eden, all other primates of his order, all
other mammals in his class, he considered the other animals: birds, reptiles,
amphibians, and said he was "besides this Adam in whom is the Spirit of
God, there is no one who is like me in this garden. This Adam is the son of
God, I too am a son of God; he was told to rule over everything that God
created on the earth, it is I who shall dominate over everything that God
created on the earth, I will destroy him to remain the sole king of Eden
"- on earth as in heaven.
How did Prince of Tyre envision
to implement this purpose? he had to
find the wisest way of men. Human wisdom states that "only the end
justifies the means" and that "all means are good to reach the
goal." This wisdom is the basis of cynicism, villainy and lack scruples in
the midst of the global elite of all time. A scientist of the world, Nicolas
Machiavelli, while encouraging princes to cynicism justified by the end of gaining
or retaining power, defended his thesis by citing cases of men he presents as
brave: Agathocles of Sicily and Oliverotto of Fermo. And the writer testifies
that the bravery of both was manifested in cruelty, inhumanity and consisted in
killing their fellow citizens, betraying friends, being without faith, without
mercy, without religion.
It has also been reported to us
about a king in the heart of Africa, Mobutu, King of Zaire, that in order to
humiliate his collaborators and thus become stronger, he lay with their wives
in a setting that ensured that the poor husbands were aware of the adultery act
to be properly abased. Such nefarious practices are one of the most certain,
effective and wise methods, but also the oldest in the human realm. We find in
the Bible a man, Ahithophel, whose counsel had almost the same value as the
oracle of the Lord: “2Sa 16:23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he
counselled in those days, was as if a man had inquired of the word of God: so
was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.” Now this Advisor
who was at the top of wisdom gave Absalome a two-step piece of advice. And the
first demanded Absalome to lie with his father David’s concubines to humiliate,
reduce him and strengthen his positions: “2Sa 16:21
And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in to thy father's concubines, whom
he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art become
odious with thy father; and the hands
of all that are with thee shall be strong.”
Also see that in implementing
this advice Ahithophel developed a setting that ensured the event was known to
all the people, and David, the victim of a double crime adultery-incest: “2Sa 16:22 So they spread a tent for Absalom upon the
roof; and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all
Israel.” Thus, in the wisdom of men,
the best method to lower a man and become strong over him is to lie with his
wife and, if necessary, in a setting that ensures he is aware of the event.
And this method is thus applied regarding the carnal political power, but it is
universal and therefore even in the world of the gods. The enemy of Christ, the
Antichrist, who dreamed of supplanting him, did use the same method, i.e. take
the Church, the Bride of Christ, and make her his own wife. Indeed, all the
laws that govern the natural are rooted in the supernatural as we read “Job 38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens?
dost thou determine their rule over the earth?” The laws
and principles of the invisible world impose their empire in the visible world.
And these heavens laws are eternal secrets or mysteries.
So this counsel of Ahithophel
is an eternal secret. So if this secret was not hidden from Ahithophel, if it
was not hidden from Machiavelli, Mobutu and many other wise of the earth; we cannot
for one moment dare to believe it was hidden from the Prince of Tyre whom God
himself witnesses, “Eze
28:3 … nothing secret is obscure for thee;” If God says
of him, “Eze
28:3 behold, thou art wiser
than Daniel!” who am I to say that he is less wiser than Ahithophel? By cons, God
adds that he was full of wisdom, the accomplished form of perfection. In other
words, if there are wise men among the sons of men, they are only members of a
dynasty of wisdom of which the Prince of Tyre is the saga or founder.
So he perfectly understood the
laws of heaven and how they exercised their power on earth. And he, having
competed Adam and wanting to destroy him to occupy his position, he knew that the
first step, before any other steps, was to humiliate, lower him in lying with
his wife. It was the first time that the counsel of Ahithophel was applied in
the land in the human world. This statement is still only the announcement of
the biblical evidences that we are going to roll out in the epistles that
follow. With the help of God, I will try to address these issues in every
detail as I promised in my introduction, so that, if possible, every gap is
filled in your mind and in your understanding as touching this mystery of Eden.
