“1Co 12:22 But much
rather the members of the body seeming to be weaker are necessary.
1Co 12:23 And
those members of the
body which we think to be less honorable, on these we put more abundant honor
around them. And our
unpresentable members
have more abundant propriety. 1Co 12:24 For our presentable members have no need, but God tempered the
body together, giving more abundant honor to the member having need”; (MKJV). And
as the man and woman are one body in which man is the head – the head is not
without honor, and therefore does not need to receive honor – the woman,
therefore, needs to be treated with more honor. For this reason the female body
requires more decency than the male; only the madness of sin pushes women of
this generation to want to compare with men.
As touching these least honest
organs, scriptural focus is essential especially regarding marriage and the
marital act. We have seen that this act is incompatible with the sacredness, which
implies that it is not sacred. When men admire plenty of fun, happiness, joy
and gladness they experience in procreation through the marital act, they could
easily slide to regarding the act as sacred, which is a serious mistake. If the
marital union was sacred, why would it still be opposed to the sacred things?
We read examples of visitation of Yahweh on Mount Sinai (Exodus 19: 14-15),
David with Ahimelech the priest at Nob (1 Sam 21: 3-5), and the precondition to
fasting and prayer (1Cor 7: 5). Nowhere in the Bible is it said that marriage
is sacred or holy; God can not contradict himself. We read in Hebrews: “Heb 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all and
the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and
adulterers.” (TLV)
Any sexual relations committed
outside the domestic context (fornication or adultery) by one partner defiles
the marriage bed, and God advocates the honor for the marriage. But in this
passage God does not say that marriage is holy or sacred. If we marry, it does
not mean marriage is holy, sacred or even good, far from that. Paul says, “1Co 7:1 But concerning the things of which ye have
written to me : It is good for a man not to touch a woman;” “1Co 7:7
Now I wish all men to be even as myself (that is
unmarried): but every one has his own gift
of God: one man thus, and another thus. 1Co 7:8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows,
It is good for them that they remain
even as I.”
What is pretty good it is to
remain unmarried as Paul and not to touch a woman. But why do we marry then, if
marriage and marital act are neither sacred nor good? « 1Co 7:2 but
on account of fornications, let each have his own wife, and each woman have her own
husband.” “1Co 7:9 But
if they have not control over themselves, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.” In our
flesh there is the law of sin which we read about in Romans 7, and this law is
burning in our members like fire that can cause massive damage if it is not
controlled. And only the special gift of God may allow a man to contain this
fire (continence), like Paul, without feeling the need to marry. This fire was
lit in Eden. Before the meal of Genesis 3, the bodies of the man and the woman
were free from this pressure of the flesh and that is why their genitals were
not dishonest or indecent.
I should mention in passing
that the gift of celibacy is special and individual, it is never shared or
institutional as we read above (1 Cor 7: 7). When men establish celibacy
principle as one of the conditions to priesthood, there cannot be anything more
satanic because then the enemy exploiting them seeks to spread debauchery. We
must consider the motivation that Paul gives to justify the marriage: « 1Co 7:2 but
on account of fornications … Nevertheless,
to avoid fornication
(KJV)… 1Co 7:9 But
if they have not control over themselves, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn.” There is no
need to specify here that the marriage of the post creation (after the fall)
referred to in this passage is centered on sex, contrary to the original couple
in which the carnal center had no role to play at all, similar to the marriage
of the Lamb we are awaiting. Fornication, incontinence, the fire burning in our
members; all these things did not exist before the fall. The man and his wife
lived in holiness without involvement in these things: they were like angels.
But when they took the meal of Genesis
3, they lit the fire that needs to be controlled all the time as we are still
in this body of death, pending the completion of our redemption when we shall
be restored to the position we had before the sin, when we will live once again
as angels: men and women, sons and daughters of God who love one another in the
love of God without feeling any sexual desire or sensation. We look forward to
the time when we will not have to make an effort not to sin or to fight against
sin in our members, as it will be no more. But until that age, God says, "let
every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband";
This is the temporary way to try and contain the rogue parts so that they do
not cause more damage if they are uncontrolled. Hence the prohibition of
marriage is a teaching of demons as the Spirit says (ITim 4: 1-3).
Blessed are those who firmly
hold this wonderful promise, who believe and persevere to see its completion:
they will live forever holy to glorify God, no more pleasure of the flesh will
be in their changed bodies. Today, because dishonesty has taken control over our
members, the very meaning of love is denatured. And we live in fear and
uncertainty as good and evil coexist in us, anytime we can slide from love to
sin. A man has had a child with a woman he abhors being forced by dishonest
organs: the child is both a source and victim of contention. A man and a woman
marry and suddenly they realize that their cohabitation is a backbone for the one
and the other, their marriage was only determined by the pressure of the carnal
center. A mother with her son love each other, they greet each by the hand, by
hugging or kissing, etc., and everything is in order so far: it is maternal
love. But if both go further to involve the least honest organs of the body, so
they slip from maternal love towards incest!
Such realities are very sad and
regrettable and yet they do exist. It was not so before the meal of Genesis 3
when these dishonest parts had not yet been activated. The meal of Genesis 3
caused incalculable collateral damage and caused an unprecedented
transformation in our body so that the body which was designed to be the
dwelling of God on earth was turned into room for carnal pleasures to the glory
of the devil. Fortunately, the God who saves us is himself the Creator. So he
does not promise us to repair this body that has been affected by the virus of
sin, but outright to change it, i.e. to replace it with an incorruptible and
immortal body. « 1Co 15:51
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all
be changed, 1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at
the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
That shall materialize and cover
the head of our redemption; to wit that we will be restored in the form we had before
the meal of Genesis 3. And beyond that, we will now have the glorious body,
holy and without guile. Before the meal of Genesis 3, man and woman lived
innocently as angels since sin was off or dead in their bodies. But it was
anyway a body pulled from the dust. God has now sent to us a new Adam with a
body that is not pulled from the dust, but a body that is fullness of the
Godhead, namely the word made flesh. All of us who have received him have at
the same time obtained the power to be born of God with the same form of body « Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he
power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Joh
1:13 Which were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” : in faith we are already and very soon we
are going to see it happen.
There won’t be in this body
fire that burns and demands to get married to avoid fornication. Here's how our
Lord has portrayed it: “Luk 20:34
And Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry and are given in
marriage, Luk 20:35 but they who are counted worthy to have part
in that world, and the resurrection from among the dead, neither marry nor are given in
marriage; Luk 20:36 for neither can they die any more, for they
are equal to angels, and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.” Men and women, we will love one another more
than we do in the flesh, and our love will be holy and without drifting off
course.
Only our Redeemer shall permanently
destroy the pressure of sin which has prevailed in our members. The marriage of
post creation was just a sedative to limit the damage of the carnal center, but
it did not prevent fornication. David was already married with hundreds of
women, but this could not prevent him from succumbing to the pressure of the least
honest organs at the sight of Uri’s wife as she bathed, and he fell into
adultery. We are longing to leave this body to be restored to the condition of
creation before the meal of Genesis 3. All that have this longing through faith
in his promise let them purify themselves and keep themselves holy for the Lord
and remain in His Word.
If
you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings!
