Cain’s religion (2)

Ge 4 “6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. 8And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.”

I want this degree of stubbornness and disbelief to be noticed. All descendants of Cain love to worship; they are more religious than the descendants of Adam. They are educated; they have genius, knowledge, wisdom which they want to prevail in their relationship with the Lord their God. They do not want to hear the counsel of God, nor receive the grace of God because they think that what they have acquired in Bible courses, seminaries and universities is sufficient for them to worship their God. God urged Cain to follow the path authorized by God, but he rejected the counsel of God and preferred to perpetrate murder. If their ancestors did not receive the advice given by God without the intermediary of a messenger, it is quite normal that they also do not receive our message.
One of them, once in torments in Hades, saw far Lazarus in Abraham's bosom. He thought wrongly that if one resurrected from the dead and brought the message of repentance to those of his father's house, then they could repent. But the answer of father Abraham was square: Lc 16 “31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” As if to say unbelief has no cure. When a person does not believe he makes God unable to help him (see the Epistle "The Word of God made ineffective"). After this experience of Cain, it is established that those of God will hear  the Word of God no matter the vessel through which God conveys it, and those who are none of God will not be convinced even if God gathers them around Him to start over the works of the creation of the universe.
Jos 3 “3And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. 4Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.”  If we are humble and honest we should assent to these words of truth, when God tells us that we have not yet passed this way! it is a way that we do not know and it  is God himself in the ark of the covenant, the Word of Truth, who should show us: what's wrong with that?
And here are the descriptions he gives of this way: Es 35 “8And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. 9No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: 10And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”  The holy way or the path that leads to Zion is not the one we make to ourselves, but it is already paved by God Himself before the foundation of the world, the only thing we need is to find out this way and to follow it, and that's all. As soon as one is on this way, one gets astray no more, whether one is wise or foolish!
And this is the path that the Lord God Almighty showed Cain, namely the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, urging him to do what is good like his brother Abel who had already received the revelation of the mystery of the Lamb of God. John the Baptist in the Jordan presented the same way to all Israel, saying, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (Jn 1:29). The two disciples heard him speak, and they did follow Jesus (Jn 1:37), because they realized that He was that Way. Jesus Christ testified of himself: Jn 14 “6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” As we have said that unbelief has no cure, Cain, turned down following that Way and instead built a religion of his own.
No messenger of God has ever received from God the mission to create a particular religion, but only to show the people of God the Way which is none other than the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. I challenge anyone who can show me even a single religion in the world that is not built on the foundations of stubbornness and disbelief. When one shows them the truth, they answer back: "We cannot deny that this is biblical, but our creed does not teach that," what is it? obstinacy and disbelief! this is perfectly Cain’s nature: he found, recognized and certified that his ways were unfair, but did not accept to give up. And to perpetuate his religion, Cain resorted to murder, persecution of Truth. Exactly what all Christian or non-Christian religions do.
When Israel had abandoned the Word of the Lord, and had turned into religion, what did he do? He overturned the altars, and slew the prophets with the sword: 1Kg 19 “10And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” What did our religions that we know do? exactly the same! the history of the Roman Catholic Church testifies that she is built on the blood of Jewish and reform Protestant martyrs, the history of America alike testifies that Protestants persecuted those who did not embrace their opinion, etc. As regards the Mohammedan religion, there is even no need of argument because it is well-known as conqueror, making use of weapons and barbarism. If the sword and the bow did not exist, one may wonder how many followers Islam would have to this day. We have mentioned only a few, but it's the same with many others. They are all bearers of the spiritual genes of their ancestor Cain worshiper and father of religions: stubbornness, disbelief and persecution.
They choose to follow the stubbornness of their evil heart instead of the Way paved by God himself, i.e. the old paths: Jr 16 « 12And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me »,  Jr 6 “16Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. 17Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.”  These religions respond to one sent by the Lord to bring them back to the old paths: Jr 44 “16As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.”  They are very hostile to any counsel that is given in the name of the Lord, but they are happy to hear the creeds of their own inventions and traditions of men.
Thus, anyone is welcome who brings to them fables, flattery and chimeras: Isa 30 “9That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: 11Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.” This is their prayer: to stay away from the presence of the Holy One of Israel, and to preserve their religions. The Holy One of Israel is the God of Truth (Isaiah 65:16). So, before such stubbornness or rejection of the truth, what medical prescription?
True Christianity is not a religion, but the life of Christ in us and is reflected in the love of Truth, obedience and total submission to God's Word. The true Christian does not deviate from the path blazed by God, or old paths that the apostles followed. All religions are paths blazed by men, new paths invented later after our fathers in the faith were asleep. These paths do not lead to Zion. Only the path paved by God leads to God, but all other ways lead to Rome, as also stated in the famous saying. Are all religions now not trying to reach their hands to Vatican through ecumenism or the global federation of churches? We are aware of all these things.
Someone identifies Satan in such religion; he leaves it to take refuge in another. But the multiplication of religions is a strategy of Satan to hide, but the ones and others do worship him. Rather, it is in Christ that one should take refuge, and not leave a religion to embrace another. For thus saith the Lord in the Scriptures: 2Co 6 “17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

If you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings!
