«And these were they which went up also
from Telmelah, Telharesha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer: but they could not shew
their father’s house, nor their seed, whether they were of Israel.» Ne.7,61.
It's good and simple to say that one is of Israel, but each one must wield one’s
family title to prove it.
It is easy to proclaim aloud: 'I belong to Christ,'
but show your father's house, your lineage back up to Christ! The man Jesus,
who was the son of God, had his family register. As a man, his lineage shows he
was the son of David, son of Judah, son of Abraham, son of Adam, son of God (Lc.3
,23-38). He could not have been the son of God and not belong to the
lineage of Adam, who was the first son of God in creation. The man Jesus could
not have belonged to the lineage of Cain, who Bible says was of the evil one (1Jn.3,
12). One cannot belong to Christ and reject the Apostles’ teachings; they
were the first Christians through God’s Word.
When God created man, he blessed him (Ge.1,27-28).
Because God is perfect, holy and eternal, his blessing is perfect, holy and
eternal too. The man that God blessed was blessed forever. This blessing has followed
the seed of this man. No man of the seed of Adam is cursed. Besides this lineage
of Adam, there was another parallel lineage that is presented to us in Genesis
4 from the 17th verse. The
ancestor of this lineage is Cain, the cursed one (Ge.4, 11). Adam
was son of God; he was blessed with his seed forever. Cain was son of the
wicked one, and he was cursed with his seed forever.
Indeed, the blessings made to Adam (GE.1 28): Be
fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it, dominate, followed Abraham to
whom it was said, inter alia, that his seed shall possess the gate of his
enemies. The same blessings have pursued this lineage to come to fruition in
Jesus who was the very seed that was promised to crush once and for all the
head of the other lineage. That's why he told his disciples: “Behold,
I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the
power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Lc.10.19.
Hereby is fulfilled the promise to possess the gate of the enemy.
Abraham whom the blessings and promises, first made to his
father Adam, followed was identified and distinguished through faith and
obedience. God is just, who had known Abraham when he was in the loins of Adam,
who had seen his faith and obedience before he was formed in the womb of his
mother, the day when Abraham appeared on earth and was 75, he called him and
pronounced the blessings of his seed. To prove to the whole world that he is
not a God of the arbitrary and does not choose elected ones by sentiment, he subjected
Abraham to all form of trial until history was witness of the faith and
obedience of Abraham. And God bore witness to Abraham, to the face of the
world, that he had faith like a mustard seed.
The seed of Abraham, the heir of the blessings and
promises from Adam, persisted in Isaac. But to Abraham were born other sons and
daughters in the flesh, not according to the word of promises and blessings.
Isaac also got an heir of blessings and promises made to his ancestry, and
another renegade son. This scenario continued and, men multiplied and men were
born to them either of blood or of the will of the flesh, or yet of the will of
man (Jn.1,
13). And in all this, God looked at the lineage of faith and
obedience in the heart.
A few centuries later, these children who are born of
blood, of the will of the flesh or of the will of man to Abraham stood before
the man Jesus and boasted about being the seed of Abraham (we are in John 8).
He replied: “I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me,
because my word hath no place in you.” v.37. Here the Lord
recognizes their carnal lineage, just as God had recognized the carnal filiations
of Ishmael to Abraham “And also of the son of the bondwoman will
I make a nation, because he is thy seed.” Ge.21:13. But as to the
covenant God saw Abraham with one son only, Isaac “But my covenant will I
establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the
next year.” Ge.17,21, “And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac,
whom thou lovest”Ge.22,2 . It is in this
spirit that Jesus also calls into question the genealogy of the Jews, although
they were children of Abraham from the carnal point of view: “If
ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.“ Jn.8,39b.
These Jews were 'Esaus'
and 'Ismaels' who could not prove by
their deeds that they were children of Abraham. The deeds of Abraham were the deeds
of faith expressed through obedience to the Word of God, the Truth. However,
these so-called 'seed of Abraham' sought to kill the Lord simply because he had
told them the truth. And he added: “But now ye seek to kill me, a man that
hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham” v.40.
“And because I tell you the truth, ye
believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why
do ye not believe me? He that is of
God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.»
v.45-47. Jesus was the son of David, son of Abraham, son of Adam,
son of God. Those who are not sons of Abraham are not sons of God.
And what is the proof that one is of God? it is not
the fact of belonging to a certain church, or use the title of pope, pastor,
reverend, prophet, evangelist, apostle, or prophesy, cast out demons, perform
miracles in the name of Jesus, far from that! The only way by which we prove
that we are the children of Abraham, the Lord has given here, He
who is of God hears the words of God: Faith in, and obedience to the Truth.
Blessings always pursue those whose heart, like their father Abraham, is
willing to obey the Truth, but to all those who feel hurt by the truth, the
Lord says, ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
God is Spirit and all his children were born, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of the Spirit
of God through the Word. For in it is the power to become children of God, to those
who believe in him (Jn.1,12-13). So, Adam, before
existing in the flesh, existed first as spirit created in God's image and
likeness through the word of God, and as such, he could not have fallen, and
therefore God would never have become the Savior, Redeemer, Most Merciful, Healer,
etc. God formed from the dust of the earth a body of flesh subject to any form
of weakness.
But the spirit ever still knew his origins.
The flesh could falter, but the spirit was still willing, as the Lord
recognized so well in Gethsemane “The spirit indeed is willing, but the
flesh is weak” Mt.26,41b. Hence is it that the genealogical title
is not carnal, but spiritual, as “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the
flesh profiteth nothing” Jn.6,63a. And the spirit that gives life is
the word of God “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they
are life” Jn.6,63b. In the sight of God, the children of Abraham
are those who have in them the heart of Abraham.
In the book of Nehemiah, where we read in the
introduction, it is written below that the priests who had not found their
genealogy were excluded from the priesthood. Others had lost their genealogy
because they were involved in marriages with the daughters of Babylon, where
they were in captivity. As the children of Israel, Christians and Christian
churches have embraced the thoughts and traditions of the world, following the pattern
of the mother church, the Roman Catholic Church. With the historic marriage
that was in the fourth century between Christ’s Church and the Roman Empire
under Constantine the Great, she took upon herself all the paganism one can
imagine: the cult of the dead, the queen of heaven, purgatory, amulets such as
rosary, holy water, the intermediation of saints, etc. to such a point that now
her children have no family title that allows to prove their belonging to
Christ. Unlike, they much more easily identify with the world.
They are not able to prove that they are children of
Abraham, they can only claim it vacuously, as the Jews did with Jesus. But they
cannot produce the deeds of Abraham, which are faith and obedience to the
Truth: When God speaks we are silent, we believe and obey. But they, when God
speaks, answer back: yes, it's true, but...!
All the daughter churches born of the Marist and papist church also behave in
the same way. They just can’t to bow down before the Truth because they are not
of the seed of the Truth.
The identity card of celestial children is 'the
deeds of Abraham’: God speaks, he believes and obeys, he takes no pleasure in
evil, but rejoices in the Truth. The evidence one has to show that one is
of Israel (Christian) is "He
that is of God heareth God’s words." This also allows each
person to examine himself, how his heart responds to the heavenly Truth: you
become very sad, angry, embarrassed, upset, or else your heart rejoices and you
praise the Lord?
If you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings.
