Jehovah’s witnesses or Jesus’ witnesses (4)

Ac 4 33And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” With great power, and that power was not theirs, but the energy of the Holy Spirit: Jn 15 “26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.”
In the previous publication, we have seen that it is God himself who has testified about his Son. And now, since Pentecost he continues to give him this testimony in the form of the Holy Spirit.
A Holy Spirit that does not bears witness to Yeshua HaNazarei WMelech HaYehudim just as the apostles did, and that differs from what was announced in the Old Testament, is not the one the Lord has promised to us. According to the testimony of the Holy Spirit promised, as he used Peter and the other apostles when he descended at Pentecost, any relationship between God and man beside Yeshua HaNazarei WMelech HaYehudim is absolutely excluded: speaking to God without calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is speaking to demons, believing, repenting and worshiping without this name is idolatry, baptizing or being baptized without this name is baptizing or being baptized for the Devil.
The God by whom all religions swear or claim to swear was pleased that all his fullness dwells in Christ. Col 28Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” God is Spirit, but his visible and affordable form is Christ. God in the Old Testament is revealed as Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shama, Jehovah Elohim, Jehovah Adonai, Jehovah Shalom, Jehovah Chidkenou, etc. But we have now read the testimony of the Holy Spirit that all these manifestations are now summarized in Christ, and so bodily. There is nothing that God is that we do not find in Jesus Christ. And God has been so pleased: Col 1 “19For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell”  He that can give him orders, let him urge God to change this order.
Muslims and all other non-Christian religions have found a God - whom Muslims call Allah, others have other names - apart from Jesus. I have great respect for the God of each one, but the truth eternal and stubborn states that Allah or the various other gods are not the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who called upon Israel as witness, because that these Gods were found elsewhere than in Jesus Christ. The Roman Catholic Church, with all the daughter churches she has brought forth, has three main Gods and a multitude of subordinate gods which she calls saints. The three major Gods are: God the Father, whose exact name is not explicitly revealed, God the Son supposedly called Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit no otherwise identified. This belief comes from Rome and not from heaven. This testimony comes from pagan idolatry and not from the Holy Spirit who can in no wise contradict the Word of God.
Here is the very foundation of faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob: Mk 12 “28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. 32And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: 33And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. 34And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.”
Very clearly in Is 9, the Bible speaks of the Son, the Eternal Father, the Wonderful Counselor (or Comforter) which is God Almighty, and there is no blur that it is not many but one that performs all these offices: Es 9 “6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”  Thus, there is one child who is born, not three, and he is both the Son of God who is given to us, Wonderful Counselor (same word in Hebrew Joez for Counselor or Comforter) Mighty God, Eternal Father, and the Prince of Peace. It is the Lord Jesus Christ. This is why Paul says 1Co 2 “2For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”
Given all this, in the New Testament we hear no more of witnesses of Elohim or witnesses of Jehovah, but always and only the witnesses of Jesus. The testimony of God in the New Covenant is not the testimony of Jehovah or Elohim, but the testimony of Jesus Christ. This is what we read thereupon:
1Co 1 6Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you.”
2Tm 18Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord.”
1Jn 22(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)”
Rv 1 1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.”
All those who are faithful to God today are led by the Holy Spirit, who is himself the testimony of Jesus. It takes to be driven by a spirit other than the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, to now claim to be Jehovah's Witness, because that belonged to the past. Even the Jews who were once Jehovah's Witnesses, after receiving the salvation of God which had been declared unto them, have now become Witnesses of Jesus, as is the case of the twelve apostles and other Jewish disciples: Rv 1 “9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
And this truth applies on earth both and in heaven: Rv 19 “10And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Here John is vision of things taking place in heaven. The heavenly army knows no testimony but of Jesus. Throughout the heavenly language, there is no terminology such as "testimony of Jehovah" or "Jehovah's Witnesses" but only of Jesus. And the fellowservant added "For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." This should be clearly understood: all genuine prophecy from God can only bear witness to Jesus. And prophesying is to speak from God, and therefore can be generalized to any preacher or teacher who speaks or claims to speak of God: if he does not testify for Jesus, and Him alone, such a one is possessed by an evil spirit. This also applies to any religion or church of which the theme of preaching is not the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Whatever is in connection with God, whatever has ever been reported about him, whatever he is, all of this is to be sought and found in the Lord Jesus Christ: this is the eternal testimony of God. Whoever does not want this truth is the one that opposes his own salvation. It is about believing to save one’s soul, or rebelling against God to die. God will never change his ways he decreed well before the foundation of the world.
But, whom was Jesus speaking to in his prayers, and whom was he speaking of with reference to the Father? Etc. By the grace of God, I will address this issue in my next publication. But as I already mentioned, it is not understanding that saves, but faith. 1Co.16 “22If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.”  Amen !
If you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings.
