“44Ye
are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a
murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar,
and the father of it” Jn 8. Jesus
Christ is the way, the truth and the life (Jn.14,6). Therefore God, his Father, is the Father
of truth,
and behold on the other side the devil is the father of lie. It is
useful to establish the parallelism between the two lines.
Each single word in this passage is to be taken in its importance: the
father of lies does not stand in the Truth. These words are addressed to the children
of the devil who had believed in the Truth (v.30-31). Thus, it is not said that the devil or
his children cannot believe the Truth or tell the truth, etc.., No! We must
abide by the terms. In the Garden of Eden the devil told some truth to the
woman (Ge.3,1), in the desert he spoke some truth when he
tempted Jesus, amid the sons of God in the presence of God to accuse Job he
told some truth (Job1,9-10), and the evil spirits that Jesus drove out
from people they possessed always confessed that he was the Christ. If anyone
says that God is good, great and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in love,
he tells the truth. But this does not mean he is not a liar! The devil knows,
believes and confesses much more than that, and yet he is and remains a liar
and the father of lie. What is lie?
In this passage we read that the liar does not stand in the truth. And
the Lord said to those who had believed in him, “31If ye continue in my word, then are ye
my disciples indeed” The
disciples of Truth are those who, not only tell or believe the Truth, but stand
or continue in it, and that's what the liar cannot do. He may also believe, tell
or confess the Truth, but he cannot fit in all Truth. King James rendered, "If ye continue in my word.“ So the
liar is one who does not stand, abide or continue in the truth until the end,
even though he may believe or confess it. The truth has pure and
eternal nature and there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning in it (Js 1:17), it is light and there is no darkness in it (1Jn 1:5).
We know that the Truth is Christ (Jn.14,6). The truth is the word of God as
pronounced and understood by God himself (see publication The Word of God in your mouth is Truth). Each single Bible verse to be true, needs to
have only biblical understanding and presentation, not theological. The word of
God understood and presented from a certain private point of view, same is the
lie. A Bible verse out of the overall biblical context is not truth. Hereby is
even the meaning of standing or not standing in the Truth. One who
stands in the truth has not only the letter, but also the spirit of truth, the
inspirer of the Holy Scriptures and can in no way contradict, modify or alter a
single passage of the Scriptures. Let's just have a short look upon all these
truths that the devil and his children tell, as of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), while never standing or continuing in the truth:
“1Now
the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had
made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every
tree of the garden?” God had
actually said. But first, notice here how he tells the truth while calling it
into question: Yea, hath God
said? Second, he told the
truth by distorting it to deliberately create confusion: Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden. The Lord had never forbidden to eat of every tree of the garden, but
only that of the knowledge of good and evil. Third, he denies the truth in
favor of his own doctrine “4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not
surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then
your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” That's it! The liar could not fit within the limits of the word of God.
He was merely able to use it to subtly introduce his own doctrine: calling the
word into question, distorting the word and overthrowing the word to establish his
own doctrine.
Satan, when
God praised Job (Job 1), did not replied, 'No, I do not agree with you, Lord, I think you exaggerate a bit,' he
believed and agreed and, as always, he questioned or challenged the divine declaration “9Then Satan answered the LORD, and
said, Doth Job fear God for nought?” Second, he said the truth with the intention to misrepresent it “10Hast not thou made an hedge about
him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast
blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.” Here Satan is loud and
clear that God will bless us, protect us, etc. - What is the truth - but this
is a bribe so that we should fear him - which is a distortion, we shall have an
opportunity to demonstrate this in one of our future publications. Third, he
introduced his own doctrine “11But
put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to
thy face.” Same approach
as in the Garden of Eden, using the truth to overthrow the truth and introduce his
own doctrine.
In the
desert, while tempting the Lord (Luke 4), Satan introduced, accompanied or
supported each of these temptations by a word of truth: “3And the devil said unto him, If thou
be the Son of God…” because
he knew he actually was according to the truth, which all his angels even confessed
whenever they met the Lord. But being faithful to his strategy, he told the
truth by challenging it: « If thou be
the Son of God …» And then
afterwards, “6And
the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of
them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.” He is
misquoting here the truth in the passage of the apostle John, found in his
first epistle chapter 5 “19And
we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” But God has never given the world to Satan,
but he deceived mankind through the woman and usurped the authority God had given
to Adam. And, notwithstanding the fact, thus saith the Lord God Almighty “4Behold, the heaven and the heaven of
heavens is the LORD’s thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.” Dt 10. Finally Satan quotes Psalm 91:11-12 not for the truth to be honored, but to push the Lord to obey him. A
very wonderful notice in this scene of temptation, the Lord always recalled him
'It is (also) written' demonstrating that he had quoted the
scriptures while twisting, distorting, altering them and causing them to
conflict with other passages of Scripture. Jesus was fully aware of the
scriptures, and that is what every Christian should zealously seek after.
Without intention to offend anyone, but in my
responsibility that I have to account for one day, namely knowing the truth and
hiding it, I have to take a current example of this learned satanic maneuver which
consists in using the truth to steal the people away from the truth.
It is about the recital known as the "Hail
Mary" which is supposedly taken from Chapter
1 of the Gospel according
to St Luke. Its introduction that draws its references from the 28th verse says as follows “Hail Mary,
Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee." Everything started well, but soon after the first comma, the truth is distorted, seeing the Scripture rather says, “28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” Mary was favored or given grace, but not full of grace. And this is confirmed in verse 30 when the angel told her “Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.” Like any sinner, Mary was troubled and filled with awe, and therefore was she reassured that she had found favor with God as you and I have found grace with the same God in Christ-Jesus. In the first chapter of the Gospel of St. John, the Bible presents one who is full of grace and truth, he is called the Word: “14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Then this recital goes on with a part drawn from verse 42 ‘Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.' All this being the background for the last part, which shall completely deny and overthrow the truth, “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen!” a new doctrine Romano-pagan and abominable, since God who is eternal cannot have a mother. A doctrine contrary to the scriptures which recognize only one intercessor or advocate between men and God, Jesus Christ the righteous, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5, He 12 : 24).

These things are so vital, and with the grace of God I will discuss them
in my next publications. But we have already been allowed to learn in this
issue that, if the truth excludes the lie, the lie, unlike, does not exist without the
truth. Moreover, the lie always departs from the foundations of truth which
it calls into question, distorts, twists, alters, and eventually denies and overthrows.
And this process is called ‘standing not in the truth'. Therefore,
when a person does not stand in the truth, you need to cut him off from the
first distortion, as did the Lord to the serpent who tempted him in the desert,
because even the few Bible verses that he pretends to recognize, he shall eventually
deny and pervert them. The devil shall then depart from you as he left our
Lord.
There is no malignant lie and mild or non-malignant lie, because each
single lie has the single goal: to overthrow the truth insomuch as any lie identifies with the
genealogy that goes all the way back to the liar, father of lie, and author of
this goal. The whole of humanity is victim of a lie that our mother Eve allowed
in, while in the Garden of Eden. Today all the kings of the earth have
committed fornication with the prostitute of Revelation
17and all the inhabitants
of the earth have been intoxicated with the wine of her fornication (v.2), because of the lie that the spiritual woman, the church of Christ, allowed
in by entering into a marriage with Roman paganism. Rev
2 “29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches.”
If you feel blessed, share and pour out the same blessings!
